Standards & Certifications

Every Luxuria safe is engineered to meet and exceed the world's most demanding security standards. Independent, laboratory-tested, and certified — because trust must be earned.

Our certifications are issued by accredited, independent European and international testing laboratories. Each standard defines precise attack scenarios, tools, and time thresholds — so when a Luxuria safe carries a grade, it is a guarantee backed by science, not marketing.

Burglary Resistance

Laboratory-tested resistance against physical attack, tools, and forced entry.

European Standard

EN 1143-1 — Secure Storage Units

The cornerstone European standard for attack-resistant safes, strongrooms, and vault doors. It defines a series of grades based on resistance time against tool attack, measured in resistance units (RU). An independent, accredited laboratory carries out all tests under strict conditions.

Luxuria safes are certified to Grades I through IV depending on model.

European Certification Board

ECB·S — Security Systems Certification

The European Certification Board for Security Systems (ECB·S) is one of Europe's most respected independent certification bodies. ECB·S certifies products across the full EN 1143-1 grade range and is recognised by major insurance underwriters throughout the continent.

Select Luxuria models carry the ECB·S Grade II and Grade III marks.

VdS — Vertrauen durch Sicherheit

VdS Schadenverhütung is Germany's foremost institute for loss prevention. A VdS certificate is required by many German and European insurance companies when specifying approved security products. Their classification system mirrors EN 1143-1 grades while applying additional proprietary test protocols.

Our premium models are VdS Class II and Class III approved.

A2P — Assurance Prévention Protection

Issued by the CNPP (National Centre for Prevention and Protection), A2P certification classifies safes into three star levels based on resistance to burglary attempts. It is mandatory for insurance-recognised security in France and widely adopted across French-speaking markets.

Our A2P-certified range holds the three-star (★★★) designation — the highest available level.

LPS 1183 — Attack-Resistant Containers

Developed by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) in the United Kingdom, LPS 1183 specifies rigorous performance requirements for attack-resistant safes and cabinets. LPCB-listed products are recognised by insurers across the UK and Commonwealth markets.

Certain Luxuria models carry LPS 1183 Grade A & B listing.

Fire Resistance

Proven protection for documents, media, and valuables against extreme heat.

European Standard

EN 1047-1 — Secure Storage Units (Fire)

EN 1047-1 is the premier European standard for fire-resistant document cabinets and safes. Products are exposed to external furnace temperatures of up to 1,090 °C while the internal temperature must remain below 170 °C for paper and 52 °C for digital media. An impact drop and explosion test are also performed.

Our fire-rated range is certified to EN 1047-1 Class S60P and S120P.

EN 15659 — Light Fire Protection

EN 15659 covers lighter-weight fire protection products for paper documents. Products are tested at furnace temperatures up to 1,049 °C with a post-fire cool-down period. This standard is particularly suited to office environments requiring accessible, everyday fire protection for important documents.

Entry-level Luxuria fire safes achieve LFS 30P and LFS 60P classification.

NT Fire — Nordic Fire Testing

The NT Fire series (017, 032, etc.) are internationally recognised fire-resistance test methods published by Nordtest, widely accepted in Europe, North America, and Asia. NT Fire 017 is especially common for paper-rated safes, while NT Fire 032 covers magnetic and digital media protection.

Our digital media safes carry NT Fire 017 — 60 minutes and NT Fire 032 approvals.

Lock Standards

Every locking mechanism certified to European high-security lock standards.

European Standard

EN 1300 — High-Security Locks

EN 1300 is the definitive European standard for evaluating and classifying high-security locks for safes and strongrooms. Locks are tested for manipulation, covert attack, and forced entry, and classified into four grades — A through D — with D representing the highest resistance.

All Luxuria lock mechanisms are certified to EN 1300 Grade B and Grade C.

French Certification / CNPP

A2P — Certified Safe Locks

Complementing the A2P safe certification, the A2P lock certificate specifically validates the locking mechanism in isolation. Tested by CNPP laboratories against manipulation and forced attack, A2P-certified locks are a prerequisite for any safe seeking the three-star A2P product mark.

All Luxuria locks are individually A2P certified prior to integration.
